Imagine yourself standing in front of Supreme Deity for the answerability of the conferred deeds among the pool of individuals, imploring for the forgiveness and mercy. All are on the same scale, yet few get preeminence upon their immeasurable extra deeds that they have accomplished for seeking Allah’s pleasure. That penitence time would be past the point where it is possible to request that your Lord allows additional time for supplication and to offer his assessed customs.
Likewise, Allah SWT has entitled some prayers with the distinctive peculiarity that will build the status and stature of a Muslim at Judgment Day. One of the prayers is Tahajjud about which the Allah Almighty said:
وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَتَهَجَّدْ بِهِ نَافِلَةً لَكَ عَسَىٰ أَنْ يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا
And from [part of] the night, pray with it as additional [worship] for you; it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station. (Quran: 17: 79)
Format of Tahajjud
For carrying out Tahajjud Salah one should:
Make pure intention of performing Salah of Tahajjud and set the alarm to wake up at last part of the night.
Sustain cleanliness and perform ablution.
Move to the quiet place of the house.
Remove all worldly matters from the heart and focus on meeting with Allah SWT.
Offer two rakahs and if possible take it up to twelve.
Try to wake up another member of the family to benefit them for this incredibly rewarding Salah.
Try following Prophet Muhammad PBUH Sunnah of Tahajjud as mentioned by Hazrat Ayesha RA:
Make Tahajjud a part of your routine as Prophet Muhammad PBUH said to Abdullah ibn Umar RA:
Supplicate to Allah SWT for all rightful and just requests to get all the benefits.
The significance of Tahajjud Salah
Waking up in the middle of the night from a deep sleep after a long and hectic daily routine is tough for this reason Tahajjud Salah has the greatest reward.
